Daniela Koch

Born in 1989 in Austria, DANIELA KOCH played recorder from the age of seven and the flute from the age of 10.  Since 2005 she has studied with Prof.  Michael Martin Kofler at the University Salzburg Mozarteum and taken part in various masterclasses for flute.

Daniela has five times been a prize winner of the national youth competition ‘Prima la Musica’, both as a soloist and chamber musician.  In 2006 she was a finalist at the Eurovision competition and in 2007 won 3rd prize at the International Crusell Flute Competition in Finland.  At the international Radio Competition Concertino Prague in 2008 she took the 1st prize.

In June 2008 she was invited to the South Bohemian Festival and performed a Gala concert in Prague with the Concertino Praga.   These were followed by debut concerts with the European Union Chamber Orchestra in Holland and Lithuania.  Daniela is a member of the Tiroler Kammerorchester and has also performed as soloist with them in Switzerland, Italy and Austria where, as an international prize-winner, she has already several future engagements.
