ZOLTAN TUSKA first studied at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest on a course for exceptional young talent and subsequently worked, over five years, with violinists József Szász, Dénes Kovács, Sándor Devich and Ferenc Rados. He now enjoys a career as soloist and chamber musician, in particular as a partner of András Schiff, and their performances have included, for example, London’s South Bank.

Zoltán has been Director and Concertmaster of both the Budapest Chamber Orchestra and the Solti Chamber Orchestra and from time to time since 2009 he has guest led the EUCO. He was also a member of András Schiff’s Capella Andrea Barca and in 1998 founded the Microcosmos String Quartet together with fellow countrymen Gábor Takács-Nagy and Miklós Perényi. The Quartet performs regularly at numerous international festivals and recently recorded the six Bartók string quartets as part of the “New Bartók Series” at the Hungaroton Studio. The recording won Pizzicato's Excellentia Award in Luxembourg.
